Jamaican 1/2 Penny – 9/11/01 WTC Ground Zero Recovery

Fascinatingly, there were many coins recovered from the rubble of the World Trade Center after the tragic attack on the Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001.  In this case, the COMEX depository vaults were discovered in the aftermath, and federal agents and armed guards surrounded the recovered coins and a small convoy of armored cars transported them to a secret location for safekeeping. These Jamaica Half Pennies were amongst those discovered! These coins were struck between 1950-1969 and have been authenticated by PCGS as having come from the World Trade Center (WTC) Ground Zero Recovery. These coins are a fantastic piece of history that not many have access to.  Add this important artifact to your stack while you still can!
